What makes our service popular and appealing is that you pay one flat fee with no hidden charges and you decide what additional services you want. Add telephone service for $9.99 per month with https://www.basictalk.com/; add TV and movies for $7.99 with http://www.hulu.com or https://www.netflix.com/?locale=en-US, or any number of other internet-based telephone or TV providers. We have two types of receivers available: line-of-site unit, and non-line-of-site unit, both units provide the same capacity.
Our line-of-site service is available in many areas of Smyth County including Adwolfe, parts of the Thomas Bridge, Chilhowie, Marion, Rich Valley and parts of Saltville. Line-of-site technology allows for coverage of great distances, and we have users in Washington and Wythe counties, where customers have clear view of our towers due to elevated location.
Our non-line-of-site service is available in the town of Marion, Mitchel Valley road (Marion), Mill Dam Road (Rich Valley), Mill Creek (Chilhowie), and Noth from our Walker Mountain Tower location. This service has the ability to penetrate buildings, trees and some hilly terrain.
Our non-line-of-site service is available in the town of Marion, Mitchell Valley Road (Marion), Mill Dam Road (Rich Valley), Mill Creek (Chilhowie), and north from our Walker Mountain Tower location. This service has the ability to penetrate buildings, trees and some hilly terrain.
We have thirteen relays strategically located throughout Smyth and Washington County, and if you can see one of them, you can get service. If you are not in the areas listed, it may still be possible to get service. We encourage you to call us or e-mail and ask if it's available at your particular address.
Installation includes mounting a little square or round antenna on the side of your home, garage, or a pole in the yard, which points towards one of our towers, receiving a wireless signal. A small cable is run inside your house, where you can plug it directly in your computer or use a wireless router to send a signal throughout your house.
Basic installation is completed by our trained independent contractors for $100 plus the first month’s service fee at the time of installation.
